A Little Zen Time

As I type this, it's -1 degrees with a chilly wind and threatening to rain not for this first time this winter. (I know I should stop moaning because it may be a lot colder where you are !)

It's one of the great things that my website allows me to do is NOT having to venture outside to go to a job.

Lately the only times I have ventured outside is when my West Highland terrier, Archie, nags me to go for his walk! Because it's been so wet and muddy recently, Archie gets his own spa treatments most days in the form of a wash in the sink before zen time in front of the fire !

You need your own zen time : so why not try a home-made facial? A facial should entail "me time", ie a time to relax, so make sure you choose a time when the house is quiet, the curtains are closed, a candle is lit, and some soft music is playing.

This simple recipe below, which gives wonderful results, was sent in by one of our readers : an ideal tonic for skin at this time of year, soothing, refreshing and cleansing. For more of your recipes or to add your own click here .

It is suitable for all skin types, but if you have particularly dry skin, replace the lemon oil with 1tsp of honey.
