Acne does not need to ruin your love life and your working life.

Acne Tips - Acne can have a devastating effect on your life. Not only does your skin feel uncomfortable, it’s red and angry which can make you feel very self conscious about your looks, often decreasing your self esteem. So much so that you can find that it is embarrassing to go out and mix socially, and potential promotions at work can pass you by. If this isn’t bad enough for some people, it cripples them so much they find it impossible to make and keep any relationships with the opposite sex. All this because of some angry, inflamed spots!

The video below is an acne tips aromatherapy recipe which explains the benefits of the essential oils used.

Some statistics on acne show :

    Three out of every four teenagers will have acne and 40% will seek help from a physician;

    In the USA, $100 million is spent every year on over the counter acne medication.

    Did you know that : many people with very bad acne (grades 3 and 4) will go to their doctors to get help and some acne tips.

    Although drugs prescribed for acne nowadays are very efficient, doctors often don’t explain what causes acne and how they can help their condition. “Stay away from chocolate and burgers,” they say!

We now know staying away from chocolate and burgers, unless you have an allergy to some of the ingredients, isn’t going to make any difference to your acne. However, it has been proved that drinking fizzy drinks especially coke will give you spots.

  • Acne is a genetic disease which causes blemishes and spots which can be angry and inflamed.
  • The hair follicle in a normal skin will grow a thick hair which acts as a wick to bring sebum and other debris to the surface where they can be got rid of.
  • In someone who has acne the hair is very much finer and the sebum is much thicker.
  • Therefore the follicle is not as efficient at getting rid of the sebum and debris laying about the follicle floor.
  • Meanwhile the thick sebum forms a ceiling over the follicle so a plug is formed.
  • Bacteria will form inside the follicle with the result of an angry, inflamed, often-sore spot will appear on the surface of the skin.
