If you don't usually wear sunscreen, allow yourself time to get into the habit of applying it on a daily basis.

Just because you have maturing skin, that doesn't necessarily mean you will never experience acne again. Instead of ignoring breakouts, the best thing you can do is to have your dermatologist recommend an acne product for mature skin that will clear up current breakouts and prevent future breakouts.

It’s one of my favourites because all the ingredients are ones that are very likely in your kitchen cupboard already : oatmeal, milk and olive oil. The ingredients may be simple every-day foods but the results are a wonderfully moisturising indulgence spa for your skin.

Because you need to allow the mixture to cool, it’s a good idea to make it first thing in the morning, perhaps while you are preparing breakfast for yourself or family. You can then have your facial at a convenient time when the house is quiet and you can relax later on in the day. Make a little me time for yourself !

Anti Wrinkle Mask
  • 2tbls oatmeal
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 2tsp of olive oil
Heat the milk and oatmeal together in a pan, simmering until the oatmeal is soft. Mix in the olive oil and leave to cool for at least ½ hour before using. Apply a thin layer of the mixture to your face and neck area, and leave while relaxing for at least 20-30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
