The Correct Eyebrow Shape For You

How Do You Find The Correct Eyebrow Shape For Your Eyes

What's the correct eyebrow shape for your eye? Eyebrow shapes come in all sorts of varieties : thick, thin, short and long, because nobody looks exactly alike.

Some may have deeper set, smaller or larger eyes than others and faces can be long, oval, square or round. Of course some women have naturally beautiful eyes, but we can all enhance the look of our own eyes by opening them up with eyebrow shaping.

The last thing I would recommend you do is go and look at a chart of different eyebrow shapes to decide which one you would like this season. Unlike lipsticks this just does not work! For the maximum enhancement you must take a look at what nature has given you and work from this.

I am going to help show you how to get the best shape for your eyes. I have also found a excellent video Click here to go straight to our video to demonstrate how to go about shaping your own eyebrows.

How to get the correct eyebrow shape for your eyes

You will need:
  • a mirror
  • eyebrow brush
  • a long pencil
  • a good pair of tweezers
  • t-tree oil or aloe vera

1. First, take your eyebrow brush and brush your eyebrows into place so you can see the natural line.

2. Before you begin using a cotton wool pad soaked in tea tree oil/aloe vera, wipe the area clean to avoid infection.

3. Give your eyebrows another brush, if required.

Tweeze in the direction that the hair is growing. Avoid tweezing the top of your eyebrows as over time this could ruin the shape. If you have strong hair, take a shower before tweezing or a warm towel over your eyes, the heat of the water will open the pores and therefore the hair won't be so reluctant to leave the hair shaft.

Step 1

Take a look at your eyebrows in the mirror, then take your pencil and place it from your nose to your eye area, as demonstrated below. Any hairs on the bridge of the nose after the pencil line should be tweezed out.

Tweeze only on the shaded area.

Step 2

Now looking straight ahead, place your pencil from the tip of the nose to the natural arch of your eyebrow. Make sure that your pencil goes over the pupil of your eye, as this is the secret to finding your natural arch. You need to leave the hair line a bit thicker from the bridge of the nose to the arch. Tweeze up to the arch making as straight a line as you can.

Tweeze any strays on the shaded area.

Step 3

Now take your pencil from your the tip of your nose to the end of your eye. Any hairs after the line of the pencil should be tweezed out. Tweeze a thinner line from the arch to the pencil.

After you have finished your correct eyebrow shape, using a cotton wool pad soaked in some t-tree oil/aloe vera and wipe the area clean to avoid infection.
