For a Quick Fix

  • Two very thin slices of potatoes are great for brightening and nourishing eyes. Make them thin slices so they make contact, yielding into the contours of the eyes.
  • Two damp tea bags over your eyes are said to help fade under-eye bags because they contain tannin and polyphenols which have an astringent effect.
  • For a quick fix, leave a teaspoon overnight in the fridge and before applying your make-up in the morning place the bulb of the teaspoon over your eyes.

Step up you water drinking habits. You should be drinking at least 8 glasses a day. If you don’t like water on its own try adding a lemon or lime for a hint of taste.

Getting enough sleep makes sense. It will not only help get rid of the darkness under your eyes but will also help you and your eyes sparkle during the day! Try to get to bed before midnight. One hour before midnight is worth every two after.

Make sure you are eating enough roughage daily. Eat a high fibre breakfast cereal or muesli to start the day off. Eat fruit or try munching a few carrot sticks between meals instead of a chocolate biscuit and buns. Always add vegetables to both your lunch and your dinner meals. Try one of our smoothie recipes.

Now its time to really set the wheels in motion, yes its time to exersizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzze

Having a good diet is great but to get your body really going you need to exercise. So if your not going to the gym already join one, or take the dog out for a walk, go for a swim, jog in the park whatever you enjoy as long as its getting you away from being a coach potatoe.

Don’t drink alcohol or at least cut back. It’s recommended that you don’t take any more than 2 unites or two glasses of wine daily. I would recommend that you cut right back to one unit ever other day to banish dark circles under eyes.

If you smoking it’s bad news for your eyes. Smoking reduces the amount of oxygen your body receives and that includes eyes. The more you smoke, the more your body is sluggish. Try and cut down or if you can manage to cut it out altogether even better.
