It combines well with : rose and neroli.

Essential oil of ylang ylang - the oil is highly valued for soaps, cosmetics, and expensive perfumes, particularly in what are known as Oriental blends.
Ylang-ylang has a soothing effect on the skin, its balancing action sorts out over-dry as well as overly-oily skin by balancing the secretion of sebum. It can also help fight the bacteria that often contribute to acne.
Grown in Asia, mostly Madagascar, Reunion and Comoro, sometimes up to 20 feet tall. The tree is arched like a weeping willow and bears a yellow green blossom throughout the year.
In 1866 an old recipe was found called boori-boori, which was made up of ylang ylang flower and coconut oil. Asian women would use this as a body balm to protect themselves against infectious illness and fevers including malaria during the monsoons.
In Indonesia it is customary when a young couple marry to spread ylang ylang flowers over their bed on their wedding night. This is believed to lesson inhibitions. The flowers are used to decorate women’s hair and the oil to encourage hair growth.

Cleansing Milk
Dry to normal skin
1tsp powdered goat's milk
A little warm water
1 drop ylang ylang oil
Put the powdered milk into a small bowl. Add enough warm water to make a milky consistency, then stir in the ylang ylang oil. Apply to your face using cotton wool and rinse of with warm water.
Mix the ingredients together, then massage into scalp and leave for 30 minutes before shampooing. The coconut oil will melt with skin contact.

1 drop rose essential oil
2 drops grapefruit essential oil
