Homemade Acne Mask - Fuller's Earth, or green clay as it is sometimes called, is one of the oldest and best mask there is to use on acne.

Fuller’s Earth is deep cleansing by removing impurities from the skin and is especially helpful for skin which is prone to spots, blemishes and blackheads. It stimulates the circulation so it feels highly refreshing while it also has a lighting effect on the outer epidermal layer, making it ideal for red angry skin and acne scarring. But don’t just think this is for people with acne problems, as this wonderful green clay will help anyone whose skin is a little stressed.

If you have acne you should steam cleanse your face at least once a week if not twice.

Orange juice is a fantastic alternative to water when making a mask as it is the gentlest of the astringent citrus juices, containing Vitamin C and B, zinc, manganese, potassium and antioxidants.

• 1 orange (medium)
• 2 tablespoons of Fuller’s Earth

For a healing mask replace the orange juice with aloe vera juice.

Slice and squeeze the juice from the orange - you will need about 3 tablespoons of juice. Add the orange juice to the Fuller’s Earth powder and leave for 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes mix until you have a paste. Add more Fuller’s Earth for thicker paste and more orange juice if you want it thinner. Apply to your face and neck and leave for 20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water and using toner remove any face mask left after washing.

• 2 tablespoons of Fuller’s Earth
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon of honey
