Hair Tips on washing

homemade shampoo recipe 1. Wash your hair when you are in the shower as you will be able to rinse the shampoo out again properly.

2. An important hair tip. Use warm water. Hot water can damage hair.

3. Pour the shampoo into the cup of your hand then massage it into your scalp first, then your hair.

4. Repeat the process twice as the first wash loosens the dirt and the second one really cleans.

5. Don't neglect massaging your scalp as this goes a long way to achieving clean hair.

6. Rinse well, making sure you get every little bit of shampoo out.

7. Leaving shampoo in your hair will only dry your hair out and might even give you split ends.

8. After shampooing with our homemade shampoo recipes, use a conditioner if you have hair longer than shoulder length. Short hair should not need a conditioner although it will give it extra shine.

9. Don't rub your hair dry as this may cause tangles. Instead wrap your hair in a towel as if it were a turban.

10. A handy hair tip. Leave the towel on for half an hour to absorb any excess water.

11. Comb your hair through rather than using a brush which can damage the hair ends.

12. Drying your hair naturally is always the best way but if you are using a hair dryer don't over dry, leave the hair just a tiny bit damp.
