Honey Milk Bath

honey and milk

A honey milk bath is just one of the indulging ways to use honey.

This is just the most relaxing way you could think of to unclog your pores, refresh your skin, and relax your mind and body after a hard day at work. Unwind with the power of honey.

Why is a honey milk bath so good for us?

All summer long bees can be seen buzzing around collecting pollen for honey. One particular place swarms of bees can be seen, is on a lavender bush. Lavender aromatherapy is so versatile, with many benefits both inside and out of our bodies. This is my own very simply explanation of one reason why honey is such a good tool, however I am sure scientists could give another hundred and one reasons.

cleopatra

Cleopatra is said to have been a great believer in honey using it as a beauty face mask and in a honey milk bath. She would have no idea why it would make her skin feel soft and why it would heal blemishes, all she would know was, that it was the ideal beauty product.

People all over the world today will buy a cosmetic product with honey in it because of the “good health image” . However just like Cleopatra, they are probably unaware why the hand lotion, facial mask, soap bar or even honey milk bath containing honey makes such a wonderful skin product.

Honey is brimming over with natural antioxidants which play a vital role in protecting the skin from aging prematurely and from the damaging rays of the sun. Honey used on the skin is a natural humectants which means, it has the ability to attract and retain moisture. Making it wonderful to use as a facial mask on dry and mature skin types. However the healing properties of honey also make it an ideal product for blemishes and acnes

Honey has been used down the centuries for sore throats and to help heal cuts and infections because of its antibacterial properties and during the war was used in open wounds on battle fields.

We have forgotten with modern cosmetics just how powerful the benefits of honey can be.
