Lemon Facial Cleanser Recipe

homemade beauty recipes

Lemon Facial Cleanser Recipe - Cleansing is a vital part of your skin care routine no matter what skin type you are. With modern day pollution, such as car exhausts, your skin can get dirty just walking along the road.

Soaps can leave your face feeling dry and tight because the ph in the soap does not match the ph of your skin. Skin ph should be around 5.5. Any cleansers you use should be very close to this ph.

This lovely lemon cleanser made with yoghurt and lemon juice will remove make-up easily. Note - It’s best to use a special eye make-up remover around and over your eyes.

Lemon juice is great at brightening up a dull skin and will slightly lighten any blackheads you have. Don’t go out in the sun after using lemon as your skin may burn.

If you have stubborn blackheads you could try dabbing some lemon juice on them last thing at night. This will not remove them but will help make them appear lighter in colour by bleaching, so less obvious.

lemon facial cleansing recipe

Lemon Facial Cleanser
  • 1tbsp natural yoghurt
  • 1tsp lemon juice
  • 2 drops essential lemon oil

Mix all the above ingredients together before using a soaking cotton wool pad to remove make-up. Repeat with fresh cotton wool pads until make-up has been removed. This mixture will not keep so it should be used at once.
