Lemon Juice for Skin Care

There are so many ways we can use lemon juice for skin care.

Using lemon juice is a safe method but if you are using any new products on your skin you should always do a skin patch test behind your ear or on the back of your wrist first.

You can have an allergic reaction even to natural products such as lemon.

Age Spots :

by applying lemon juice directly undiluted onto an age spot for about 15 minutes will have a lightning effect as lemon juice is a natural bleach. Do this as often as required but remember to rinse your skin afterwards.

Stained Hands :

have you been gardening or stained your hands with something which just won't come off with soap and water?

Try rubbing a lemon over them: leave for a few minutes then rinse it off.

You can repeat the process as often as required.

Use a hand cream afterwards as lemon juice can be drying.

Exfoliation :

exfoliate your skin by mixing lemon juice with a little olive oil and brown sugar.

This is a great treatment if you have blackheads as the lemon juice really brings them out.

If you don't want to exfoliate your skin then use lemon juice directly onto your blackheads once a day until you see an improvement.

Rough Skin :

if you suffer from rough elbows, hands or feet, then try rubbing lemon juice into the rough skin, rinse and follow by using a moisturiser such as olive oil. Go on, give it a try !

Cracked heels

can be very painful, so painful that you can barely walk.

Just what you don't want when you want to wear your sandals.

Mix a little baking soda with some lemon juice and rub it into your heels.

Rinse off with warm water, followed by a moisturiser such as olive oil.

First aid

can also be applied using lemon juice for skin care.

Apply lemon juice to nettle rash to stop stinging and itching.

Remove warts by applying lemon juice to the wart using a cotton bud. Do this two to three days daily until wart dissolves.

Lemon juice is a great natural disinfectant so you can safely use it on your cuts and scrapes.
