Skin Care Recipes and Facial Mask Recipes
On our skin care recipes page, we have tried to give you a variety of natural facial mask recipes
and treatments which you can make yourself in the comfort of your own home.
Making your own skin care recipes are inexpensive, but just because they don't cost as much as
big brand names doesn't mean they are not just as efficient.
In fact often natural facial mask recipes are far better than bought ones :
- 1. you know what ingredients are included
- 2. maybe, more important, you know what ingredients are not included
- 3. ingredients are fresh and therefore active
- 4. you have more control
- 5. you know they have not been tested on animals
- 6. you are not paying for pretty packaging and advertising
So before we begin our do it yourself facial mask recipes - make yourself comfortable.
Find a nice quiet spot in the house where you won't be disturbed.
Find some relaxing music, a good book and perhaps a
candle or two.
Now make sure the room is warm, and light your candles, play your music and put the lights
off to create an atmosphere that is relaxing.
Now it's time to sit back and indulge in our
cleanser skin care recipes :

Now let's take a look at a few more skin care recipes using natural facial mask recipes that you can do yourself -
Fruit Peel Masks
- 1/2 cup of fresh fruit juice
- 1 pkt gelatine
For normal to dry skin, use apple, pear and raspberry juice
For oily skin use grapefruit, lemon and
tomato juice
Heat the gelatine and fruit juice until the gelatine dissolves. Place in a cool place such as the refrigerator until just about set but not quite. This will take about half an hour. Now spread a thin layer over your face and neck area. Allow to dry before peeling off. Rinse your face with warm water and
moisturise.
Egg White Mask
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 egg white
- 1 teaspoon of glycerine
- 2 tablespoons of cornflour
This is one of my favourite skin care recipes. I love it because it really does liven up your skin and it feels baby soft when you rinse it off.
Whisk an egg white until it stands in peaks. Mix the other ingredients together until the cornflour forms a paste. Mix the egg white into this mixture. Spread over face and neck and leave for 30 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
Do it yourself facial mask recipe - Simple Honey Mask
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 teaspoons milk
Mix the honey into the milk. Spread over entire face and neck area and leave for at least 30 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
