Solid Perfume Recipe

Our Solid Perfume Recipe is so easy to make and just as easy and lovely to use, making it a perfect gift. A solid perfume can linger longer on the skin as the essential oils may not evaporate so quickly as in a liquid perfume. You don’t need to use the essential oils we have chosen for you : instead you could mix and match your own oils to give it your own individual stamp. Beeswax, as the name suggests, is made by bees - making it a natural product and one which we can use in many recipes such as perfume , lip balm and soap. It can also be used for making candles and polishing floors, but don’t think too much about that as you make your perfume !

Almond oil is a lovely massage oil which has a light nutty aroma : suitable for both face and body and great for dry skin as it nourishes and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Beeswax pellets and almond oil can both be bought from eBay for about $2-$3 each.

Tempt your partner with this sensuous perfume :

• 1 tablespoon of beeswax pellets
• 1 tablespoon of almond oil
• 7 drops of ylang ylang essential oil
• 7 drops of sandalwood essential oil

A lovely light perfume for a summer's day :

• 1 tablespoon of beeswax pellets
• 1 tablespoon of almond oil
• 15 drops of rose absolute

First choose your recipe. Then take the beeswax and almond oil and place in a small bowl over some boiling water to allow to melt. Once the oils have melted, mix the essential oil into the mixture. Pour into small jars to cool and store. To use spread a little on to your pulse points.
