Which Foods Cause Eczema
Which Foods Cause Eczema
Which foods cause eczema? This is a question that can’t easily be answered as eczema and food allergies often go together and what causes a trigger in one person might not in another. However we have tried to answer the question by giving you the common foods which cause eczema.
Milk is a common trigger food for eczema. There is a protein in cows' milk which often causes problems with people who are allergy sensitive. A friend's child reacted very badly to cows' milk but as soon as she changed to
goats' milk the eczema cleared up. She was lucky enough to live on a farm which had many goats, however goats' milk is easy to buy in the supermarkets.
Soya milk is another alternative from which there are many different brands to choose. It’s available unsweetened or sweetened and sometimes in a variety of different flavours. Soya milk has the added bonus of being cholesterol free and lactose free.
If milk does trigger your eczema then you must remember to stay away from all products which include it, such as cheese, yoghurt, butter, ice cream dips etc.
Read the labels on food just to make sure before you buy as you may be surprised to find milk in many products which you don’t expect.
